This lesson outlines how to do Post Meta Tags in Wordpress.
Now you can test your knowledge...
Question 1 of 3
Do you need to fix your posts meta tags as you did with your pages?
No, Google doesn't count posts as part of your site structure so there is no need to bother with that.
Basically it’s the same as doing the meta tags for your pages .
Doing the meta tags for Posts is much harder so you are better off paying someone to do them for you.
Question 2 of 3
Do you need to fill in the Keyword section in All in One SEO when doing your meta tags?
Hmmm, you didn't talk about that in the video.
If you fill in the keywords section, Google will penalise your site as it considers keyword tags as spam and ‘keyword stuffing’.
Under no circumstances should you fill that out! All in One SEO developers should be ashamed of themselves for giving you the option to get your website penalised by Google.
It is pretty much optional but if you do bother to fill them out, it may give other search engines a bit more information as to what the page is about. However, generally speaking, Google pays no attention to keyword tags any more.
Question 3 of 3
When using the Meta Tag Analyser program, what percentage relevancy should you aim for?
Has to be 100% otherwise you are wasting your time.
Whatever percentage is fine as Google doesn’t really care about relevancy.
You should aim for anywhere between 80-90+% relevancy as the more accurately the tags describe your content, the higher you will rank.
